Big Ben and the buses
The famous double-decker buses are everywhere in London, and they go by every few seconds. Or so it seems. This is the area just in front of Westminster Abbey, with Big Ben and the London Eye beyond it.
Serpentine Bridge
Bridge over the Serpentine, a lake in Hyde Park, in the Kensington area of London on a clear winter evening.
The Natural History Museum
Cretin that I am, I only dodged into here to escape the rain. Didn't leave for hours.
The London Eye and the Thames at sunset.
The Thames is gorgeous at sunset, with classic architecture and the iconic London Eye.
Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament
The Palace of Westminster is actually the name of the building where Parliament meets. And Big Ben is actually the name of one of the bells in the Clock Tower--which is now known as the Elizabeth Tower.

A Living Statue along the Thames
Living statues are fairly common along the Thames, but this guy was particularly good. He only broke his pose when no one else was looking, and motioned me to take a picture. My camera was all set for HDR landscapes and I had no idea the shot would come out this well.
Kensington View
The Forum Hotel, now a Holiday Inn, is the tallest building in this part of London. The windows open on an angle, just barely enough for me to squeeze me camera out and take a shot.
The Southwark Bridge
I'd just crossed the Blackfriars Bridge after leaving the Blackfriars Tavern, in search of yet another pub. There's always something to see, walking around London.
Didgeridoo Player
Busking is big in the London tubes and passages. Here's a completely international act: an Italian in London playing an Australian instrument. He was pretty good, too. . .not that I'm an expert on didgeridoo music. But I liked it. Gave him a crown, or a guinea, or tuppence or something. I don't know those coins.
The Serpentine Bridge in May
This is one of the most beautiful scenes in London, so after some success with a winter shot (which you saw above) I had to try again one May evening.
