It's rare to have a clear sunset in San Diego; there's a cloudbank offshore that rolls in every evening--that's part of the reason we have this glad climate. This evening was so clear it was a little unreal. . .as you see.

What else can I say? Lots of sandstone along the coast, that gets beautifully beat up by the surf. That's the Ocean Beach pier way in the background.

The Star puts to sea once or twice a year. If you have a friend with a boat, you can follow her. Otherwise, you can visit her in port, where she's part of the San Diego Maritime Museum ( http://www.sdmaritime.org/ ).
